MSN Entry into Nursing

Jarvia Meggett

Student - Jarvia Meggett

Jarvia Meggett had wanted to be a nurse since the second grade in Charleston, SC. Semantics and accreditations aside, she basically entered the world with a plan—cemented by an elementary school career day—that’s brought her all the way to the MSN Entry into Nursing program.

She was an undergraduate in South Carolina, then earned a master of public health degree in Michigan where she dug in as a researcher, particularly on diabetes. She became determined not just to treat but to prevent such suffering. She loved it, but something was missing:

“The patient interaction, getting to know patients beyond what I see on a chart or in the data.”

The world needs more nurses.

There is a worldwide demand for over 1 million more nurses. In the U.S. alone, demand for RNs is expected to grow 15% by 2026.
